"This song had a bit of an interesting journey. I wrote it a few years ago, and recorded a complete demo of it with a substantially different set of lyrics. When I first brought the song to Ten Story Love, they liked it quite a bit, but Scot always felt I could've done a better set of lyrics. Eventually I relented and re-wrote the verses. This time, I used the Tao Te Ching as "source material". The original version of the song had no connection to the Tao at all."
