Grinding Wheel
I really hate to say this but I've heard this all before,
I'm not rich and famous-that's not what I do this for.
But you don't seem too grateful for your wealth and your reknown.
It's like a Grinding Wheel,
Spinning 'round and 'round,
Like a Grinding Wheel,
Trying to grind you down.
Lots of complications if you're not a Superstar,
I take out my frustrations on this beat-up old guitar.
But you've been gazing at your shoes so long, your head is upside-down.
It's like a Grinding Wheel,
Spinning 'round and 'round,
Like a Grinding Wheel,
Trying to grind you down.
My life is just a mess since I've been sleeping in my car,
I've been giving my new address as the lot behind this bar;
Better not to pull my strings 'cause I might come unwound.
It's like a Grinding Wheel,
Spinning 'round and 'round,
Like a Grinding Wheel,
Trying to grind you down.
