"'In A Different World' started out as something Mike and I used to jam on. We had the music all worked out, but it didn't have any lyrics or a name-- we used to just call it 'the funk song'. We had recorded all the music tracks, but it was just sitting there waiting for us to finish the words."

"I put off writing lyrics for a long time... I had no idea what to write about. Then I went on vacation to Disney World, and the whole time I was there I felt like I was in a different world. When I got back home, that just stuck in my head as a potential title for the song."

"I brought the idea up to Mike & Scot, and we all sat down and skeched out the lyrics. I finished them off later, and the lead vocal track was the very last track we recorded before we finished the album, I think. But this was the first song that the three of us wrote out together."
