In A Different World
Garbage in and garbage out, trailer trash & garbage mouth;
Something stinks an' it ain't me.
Tabloid talk show, scream and shout-- the decline of Western Civ, no doubt;
I think I watch too much TV.
I'm just looking for a lucky break, I'm just looking for a way I can escape.
I wish that I could be in A Different World,
A new reality in A Different World,
Find some room the breathe in A Different World,
A little bit of peace in A Different World.
Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy, being tailed by private eyes;
Big Brother's watchin' you.
The IRS, the FBI, I'm just an ordinary guy,
Tell me, what's a man to do?
I keep on lookin' for a way to forget, I keep on lookin', but I ain't found it yet.
I wish that I could be in A Different World,
Sing in another key in A Different World,
Live the life I lead in A Different World,
One ticket, please, to A Different World.
All aboard the Freedom Train-it's time we made a move again.
If you're waiting for a change, things will always stay the same.
Dirty kids walkin' city streets, sleeping on that cold concrete,
Gimme one good reason I should stay.
Crack house in suburban town, junkie's passing needles 'round;
There has got to be another way.
This pressure cooker is just about to blow, it's boiling over an' there ain't nowhere to go.
I wish that I could be in A Different World,
Finally be free in A Different World,
Get up off my knees in A Different World,
Find something to believe in A Different World.
I wish that I could be in A Different World,
Think of the possibilities in A Different World,
Just you and me in A Different World,
Someday we will meet in A Different World.
